Rowing-Adaptive Overview

Adaptive Rowing only recently became part of the Paralympic Program in 2005. It will make its Paralympic Games debut in Beijing in 2008. There are four boat classes, namely, men's arms only single scull, women's arms only single scull, drunk and arms mixed doubles and legs, trunks and arms mixed coxed fours. All races are over 1000m.


The sport is open to athletes with spinal cord injuries, cerebral palsy, lower limb amputations and visual impairments.
